Roads Service to look at Greencastle road safety improvements

Speaking after the site meeting local residents and Roads Service the MP for the area Margaret Ritchie said;

“Roads Service listened to the concerns of local residents regarding the speed of traffic and the requirement for street lighting in the area leading into Greencastle. Roads Service have undertaken to liaise with the PSNI to see if an extension of the 30mph limit can be granted. Roads Service will also look at improving roads markings and conduct an assessment for street lighting in the area.

I will continue to pursue this matter with Roads Service and await the outcome of the investigations and assessments now being undertaken.”
