“This substantial investment by NI Water to install a new waste water pumping station at Annsborough, following the flood alleviation works carried out in the area, some years ago is a welcome development. This work is vital for the residents of Annsborough and is an important enabling measures for any new housing or developments in the area.
The work is estimated to take 5 months to complete and will cause some disruption. However, I know from recent similar schemes in Ballymartin that the provision of new waste water pumping station is not only vital and will bring benefit to the local community and environment but must be embraced at a time when government funding has been hit so hard.
I look forward to the completion of this scheme and will be asking NI Water to keep disruption at a minimum and to progress the scheme on site without delay.”
